History

Rothwell Landscape, Inc. was started by Jason Rothwell. His business venture began as an 11 year old boy mowing lawns in the neighborhood. As time went by, he obtained a drivers' license and began to branch out to neighborhoods other than his own. Rothwell Mowing was the name and soon customers wanted leaves raked, bushes trimmed, and flowers planted, the business began to grow. Rothwell Landscape, Inc. was born in 1992. Jason hired his first employees in high school and when he graduated from Manhattan High it only seemed natural that he continue his education at Kansas State University in the Horticulture Department. As he pursued his degree in Landscape Design, he had already begun to take on landscape projects. The business was flourishing as Jason juggled full time school and a full time business.

Jason graduated in December 1996 and the business started to offer additional services and add to its staff. Since that time the business has experienced tremendous growth each year and has become one of Manhattan's most respected landscape companies.

In 2000, Rothwell Landscape, Inc. expanded into Junction City. Like the Manhattan location, the Junction City office offers the same complete landscape services including: landscape and irrigation design and installation, landscape maintenance, mowing, and fertilizing programs.

Jason's goal of creating a solid business that provides for its employees and their families, a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere and high quality landscape services have come to fruition. For over 20 years Rothwell Landscape, Inc has been part of the landscape in North Central Kansas.

Rothwell Landscape, Inc. now serves Manhattan, Junction City, Chapman, Wamego, Wakefield, Ft. Riley and the surrounding communities. We pride ourselves in having a highly qualified management team with various horticulture backgrounds. Rothwell Landscape, Inc. employs several Kansas State University graduates with the knowledge and expertise to help make your landscape look its best. Rothwell Landscape, Inc. has been very fortunate to have surrounded itself with a great staff. Now owned by some of the people who have helped build Rothwell Landscape, Inc. into the company it is today; we continue to help make Kansas a more beautiful place to live.
